Konia Village – Your Local Slice of Cyprus
Just a 2-minute stroll from the villa, Konia Village is our little hidden gem perched above Paphos—a place where the pace is easy, the views are wide, and the food... well, let’s talk about the food.
This isn’t some sleepy village with one dusty café. Konia has three proper tavernas, each offering something totally different—so whether you're feeling fancy or just after a pint and a plate, you're covered.
First up, The Mansion – hands down the best chop you’ll ever have. Seriously. Mention our names Nik & Leah, and you’ll be treated like a regular. They know how to look after guests (and their portions aren't shy either).
Then there’s Panais, where the goat’s cheese salad is unreal, and somehow, they also pour a better pint of Guinness than most Irish pubs in London.
And if you’ve come with a big appetite, O’Firis is calling your name. Their Cypriot mezze is next-level – generous, traditional, and absolutely delicious. Just make sure you arrive hungry... properly hungry.
Beyond the tavernas, the village has a lovely laid-back feel, with a mix of traditional stone homes and modern villas, all wrapped in those classic Mediterranean vibes—olive trees, wildflowers, and views down to Paphos and beyond.
Konia's close enough to everything (the city, the beaches, the sites), but tucked away just enough to enjoy the peace and slow-down you came here for. It’s the kind of place you settle into quickly—and find hard to leave.

And if you're visiting in winter, here's a bonus most people don’t expect: the Troodos Mountains, often dusted in snow, are just over an hour’s drive from the village. You can be sipping coffee in the sun in the morning and building a snowman after lunch. It’s Cyprus—go figure.
